  • Electronic identity card:
     We would like to draw your attention to the fact that you have to hold a valid electronic identity card if you want to travel or to go on holiday in particular.
    Every year some people are turned back from the airport because their identity card is not valid anymore.
    We suggest you should check the expiration date of your card, which must still be valid at least three months before your departure, should you contemplate to leave the Belgian territory.
    Pour les enfants de moins de 12 ans, The new electronic identity card for children under 12 will be delivered by April 20th, 2009 and must be requested at least one month before they go abroad.
  • Updating the Municipal Population Register, issuing various administrative documents, ...
  • Check or lock your identity card, your resident permit or your passport (with an embedded chipset)
